Kurt E. Vragel, Jr.
Kurt prepares and reviews transportation contracts; does corporation work, including incorporation and corporate documentation; handles independent contractor agreements and issues; helps prepare fuel tax and IRP registrations and responds to fuel tax and IRP audits and claims; does purchase-and-sale agreements for transportation businesses; and handles damage claims against carriers. He founded the firm in 1987, after working for the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, D. C.; working as house counsel for a trucking company; and being a pipeline and trucking lawyer for a railroad.
Tami J. Diamond
Tami is a litigation attorney with over 25 years of experience in both corporate and transportation law, with a focus on employment-related matters. Tami has advised clients on hiring, establishing and enforcing workplace policies and discharge procedures. She has extensive experience at all levels of proceedings in federal and state court, from information gathering and drafting pleadings, through discovery, motion practice and trial. She has also appeared before many administrative agencies, including the EEOC, DOL, IDHR, IDOR, IDES, and IWCC. Tami identifies each client’s needs and goals at the outset to determine an efficient path to an effective resolution.
Tomasz (Tom) Koziol
Tom practices in the areas of transportation law, commercial litigation, construction law, and collection matters for the firm’s clients. He has been with the firm since 1999 and was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 2007. He speaks fluent Polish. Tom prides himself on being responsive to the needs of the client and always takes the time and effort to navigate the client through the complexities of the legal process.
